City of Light
A modern metropolis of glassy skyscrapers, waterside boulevards, and lush residential neighborhoods, Perth sits on the edge of the Swan Coastal Plain.Venture out of the city with trips to Red Umbrella Art Gallery (in South Fremantle) and Fremantle (Fremantle Prison, WA Maritime Museum, &more). Dedicate the 20th (Wed) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: admire the natural beauty at Kings Park and Botanic Garden, don't miss a visit to The Bell Tower, contemplate the waterfront views at Swan River, and look for all kinds of wild species at Caversham Wildlife Park.
