Chonburi — 2 nights

Tourism has thrived for a long time in the popular eastern port city of Chonburi, thanks to the relaxing seaside getaway that the city provides.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Fri): observe the fascinating underwater world at Bangsaen Institute of Marine Science, Burapha University and then enjoy the sand and surf at Bang Saen Beach. On your second day here, take in the spiritual surroundings of Wihan Thep Sathit Phra Ki Ti Chaloem and then browse the different shops at Mega Bangna.

Bangkok to Chonburi is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or take a train. Expect a daytime high around 40°C in June, and nighttime lows around 30°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sun) so you can drive to Pattaya.

Getting from Chonburi to Pattaya by car takes about an hour. Other options: take a bus; or take a train. When traveling from Chonburi in June, plan for a bit cooler days in Pattaya, with highs around 37°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 31°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Wed) to allow time to take a shuttle back home.
