A lively seaport renowned for its high concentration of Art Nouveau buildings, Alesund stretches over seven islands and features a compact city center almost entirely surrounded by water.
Visit Borgund Church and Alnes Lighthouse for their historical value. Explore hidden gems such as Aalesund Church and Saudehornet. Step out of Alesund with an excursion to Rorsethornet to Raestadhornet in Midsund Municipality--about 1h 50 min away. There's still lots to do: hike along Tueneset and Hessabana, enjoy the sea views from The Fisheries museum, stroll through Walk to Borgundgavlen, and don't miss a visit to Brosundet i Alesund.
