Start off your visit on the 14th (Mon): appreciate the extensive heritage of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, make a trip to Rocca Calascio, and then don't miss a visit to Forte Spagnolo. On the 15th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: identify plant and animal life at Campo Imperatore, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Santa Maria di Collemaggio e Porta Santa, then ponder the design of Fontana delle 99 cannelle, and finally explore the fascinating underground world of Grotte di Stiffe.
