Cockermouth

Cockermouth is an ancient market town and civil parish in the Borough of Allerdale in Cumbria, England, so named because it is at the confluence of the River Cocker as it flows into the River Derwent. Your day by day itinerary now includes Crummock Water. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Cockermouth: Allen Banks and Staward Gorge (in Bardon Mill), Borrowdale (Watendlath & Lodore Falls) and Glenridding (Sheffield Pike & Boat Tours & Water Sports). Spend the 26th (Wed) exploring nature at Kielder Water & Forest Park. The adventure continues: explore the activities along Buttermere Lake, identify plant and animal life at Alpacaly Ever After, stroll through Catbells Lakeland Walk, and shake up your sightseeing with a climbing tour.

In July in Cockermouth, expect temperatures between 22°C during the day and 17°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 29th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
