Located off of the Great Western Highway, Katoomba is the main hub of the City of Blue Mountains.
Go for a jaunt from Katoomba to Faulconbridge to see Norman Lindsay Gallery & Museum about 32 minutes away. There's much more to do: do sightseeing at your own pace with Blue Mountains Biking Adventures, hike along The Giant Stairway, don't miss a visit to Gallery Blackheath, and get outside with Eagle Rock Adventures Pty Ltd.

Hobart to Katoomba is an approximately 5.5-hour combination of flight and train. You can also do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of bus, ferry, and train. In January, Katoomba is a bit warmer than Hobart - with highs of 34°C and lows of 20°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Fri) so you can go by car to Sydney.
