Budapest is known for historic sites, sightseeing, and nightlife. Esztergom, is a city in northern Hungary, 46km northwest of the capital Budapest. On the 18th (Sun), contemplate the long history of Esztergom Basilica / Cathedral, then take in the pleasant sights at Fajdalmas Szuz Chapel, and then trek along Ram Szakadek. Keep things going the next day: get great views at Julianus Kilato, pause for some serene contemplation at Our Lady of the Snows Church, and then pause for some photo ops at National Flag and Heroes' Monument of Zebegeny.

Győr is the most important city of northwest Hungary, the capital of Győr-Moson-Sopron County and Western Transdanubia region, and—halfway between Budapest and Vienna—situated on one of the important roads of Central Europe. Get out of town with these interesting Gyor side-trips: Veszprem (Statue of Szent Istvan and Gizella & Szentharomsag Statue), Mor (Csabi Miklos' Cellar & Geszler Family Winery) and Borvar Tata (in Tata).
