Youngstown — 3 nights

Youngstown is a city in and the county seat of Mahoning County in the U.S. state of Ohio, with small portions extending into Trumbull County. Get out of town with these interesting Youngstown side-trips: Erie (Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park Resort & Presque Isle State Park). On the 18th (Thu), spend a day ambling around Mill Creek Park. There's lots more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Fellows Riverside Gardens, steep yourself in history at Lanterman's Mill, get engrossed in the history at Youngstown Museum Of industry And Labor, and admire the masterpieces at The Butler Institute of American Art.

Pittsburgh to Youngstown is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. Traveling from Pittsburgh in August, expect a bit cooler with lows of 58°F in Youngstown. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Sun) so you can drive to Rome.

Rome is the largest city in and the county seat of Floyd County, Georgia, United States. On the 22nd (Mon), see the interesting displays at Oak Hill & The Martha Berry Museum, then deepen your understanding at Rome-Floyd E.C.O. Center, and then explore the different monuments and memorials at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
