Known as the "Pink City" because of the color of the stone used for many of its notable structures, Jaipur draws visitors with its chaotic street life and a slew of colorful bazaars selling everything from handmade pottery to tie-dye scarves.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Sat): see the sky in a new way at Jantar Mantar - Jaipur, then get engrossed in the history at City Palace of Jaipur, then step into the grandiose world of Amber Palace, and finally stop by Jaipur Blue Pottery Art Centre. On the next day, admire the striking features of Birla Mandir Temple, then make a trip to Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind, and then admire the striking features of Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors).
