Luang Prabang — 4 nights

Designated a World Heritage Site in 1995, Luang Prabang sits at the meeting point of two rivers and offers numerous opportunities for sailing, climbing, and exploring scenic caves and waterfalls.
Visit Wat Sensoukharam and Wat Mai Suwannaphumaham for their historical value. Discover out-of-the-way places like Wat Xieng Mouane and Nahm Dong Park. Step out of Luang Prabang with an excursion to 100 Waterfalls in Nong Khiaw--about 52 minutes away. There's much more to do: play a few rounds at Luang Prabang Golf Club, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Wat Choumkhong, steep yourself in history at Wat Manorom, and make a trip to Wat Tat Luang.

For photos, where to stay, and other tourist information, refer to the Luang Prabang road trip planning app.

If you are flying in from Singapore, the closest major aiport is Luang Phabang International Airport. In August, daily temperatures in Luang Prabang can reach 38°C, while at night they dip to 28°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 27th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
