City of Seven Hills

Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Mon): don't miss a visit to Elevador de Santa Justa, then stop by Alfama, and then step into the grandiose world of Castelo de S. Jorge. On the next day, take a stroll through Rossio Square, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, then make a trip to Belém Tower, then pause for some photo ops at Padrao dos Descobrimentos, and finally get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Lisbon Oceanarium.

London, UK to Lisbon is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and bus; or take a train. Prepare for a bit warmer weather when traveling from London in November: high temperatures in Lisbon hover around 21°C and lows are around 11°C.
