The riverside capital of Laos, Vientiane still has a relatively small urban area and a laid-back, relaxed feel to it.
On the 27th (Sat), contemplate the long history of Great Sacred Stupa (Pha That Luang), pause for some photo ops at Wat That Luang Neua, walk around Buddha Park, appreciate the history behind Black Stupa (That Dam), then take in the spiritual surroundings of Wat Si Saket, and finally make a trip to Patuxai.

Seoul, South Korea to Vientiane is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of subway, ferry, train, and bus. You'll gain 2 hours traveling from Seoul to Vientiane due to the time zone difference. August in Vientiane sees daily highs of 38°C and lows of 29°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Sat) so you can fly to Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang — 4 nights
