Fort Smith

Fort Smith is the second-largest city in Arkansas and one of the two county seats of Sebastian County. Kick off your visit on the 18th (Thu): take an in-depth tour of The Clayton House, then contemplate the long history of Fort Smith National Historic Site, and then stroll the grounds of Fort Smith National Cemetery. On the 19th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: see the interesting displays at Fort Smith Trolley Museum, get outside with Janet Huckabee Arkansas River Valley Nature Center, and then immerse yourself in nature at Devil's Den State Park.

Set deep in the Ouachita Mountains, the city of Hot Springs almost completely surrounds the national park of the same name.
Start off your visit on the 20th (Sat): steep yourself in history at Fordyce Bathhouse, take in panoramic vistas at Hot Springs Mountain Tower, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Anthony Chapel, and finally take in nature's colorful creations at Garvan Woodland Gardens.

Little Rock

Once inhabited by Native American tribes, today Little Rock bustles with nearly 800,000 people.
On the 21st (Sun), get engrossed in the history at Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site, then snap pictures at Big Dam Bridge, then get curious at Museum Of Discovery, and finally make a trip to River Rail Electric Streetcar. Here are some ideas for day two: don't miss a visit to La Petit Roche Plaza, then view the masterpieces at The Galleries at Library Square, and then get to know the resident critters at Little Rock Zoo.
