Hartford

Hartford is the capital of the U.S. state of Connecticut. On the 19th (Mon), immerse yourself in nature at Silver Sands State Park, enjoy the sand and surf at Walnut Beach, and then stroll through White Memorial Conservation Center. On the 20th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: admire the natural beauty at Harriet Beecher Stowe Center, then get some jogging in at Elizabeth Park, and then get curious at Connecticut Science Center.

Mystic

A historical leading seaport, Mystic has maintained a strong respect for the past.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Mystic Seaport Museum and USS Nautilus. Visiting Fort Trumbull State Park and Eastern Point Beach will get you outdoors. Go for a jaunt from Mystic to Madison to see Meigs Point Nature Center about 48 minutes away. There's still lots to do: get engrossed in the history at Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center, enjoy the sea views from Stonington Lighthouse Museum, stroll through Dubois Beach, and do a tasting at Holmberg Orchards & Winery.

You can drive from Hartford to Mystic in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or do a combination of bus and train.
