Jewel of the Mediterranean

Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
Get a sense of the local culture at Basilica of the Sagrada Familia and Casa Batllo. Take a break from the city and head to Fenals Beach and Scuba & Snorkeling. Venture out of the city with trips to Salou (Illuminated Fountain & Llevant Beach), La Boella (in La Canonja) and El Lloro (in Tarragona). There's much more to do: kick back and relax at Playa de la Pineda, admire the striking features of Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, take a stroll through Passeig de Gracia, and don't miss a visit to Casa Mila - La Pedrera.

To see ratings, photos, maps, and tourist information, refer to the Barcelona trip builder website.

If you are flying in from Brazil, the closest major aiports are Barcelona International Airport, Girona Airport and Reus Air Base. Expect a daytime high around 34°C in July, and nighttime lows around 25°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
