Located at the estuary of the Brandon River, the historical fishing town of Kinsale nestles against hills that act as a natural shield against the open sea.
Get some cultural insight at Blarney Castle & Gardens and Titanic Experience Cobh. Get out of town with these interesting Kinsale side-trips: Carrigadrohid Castle (in Macroom), Lismore (Lismore Castle Gardens & Ballysaggartmore Towers) and Cork (University College Cork (UCC), Donovan's Bridge, & more). Spend a day of island exploring on the 26th (Sat) at Cape Clear Island. There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at Charles Fort, take an in-depth tour of Kinsale Regional Museum, identify plant and animal life at Garnish Island, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Anne's Church.

To find more things to do, photos, other places to visit, and more tourist information, go to the Kinsale tour site .

In May in Kinsale, expect temperatures between 16°C during the day and 8°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
