The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Venture out of the city with trips to Seogwipo (Seongsan Ilchulbong, Gasiri Wind Power Plant, &more). There's lots more to do: Head underground at Manjanggul Cave, walk around Sarabong Park, take a peaceful walk through Jeolmul Natural Forest Resort, and kick back and relax at Hyeopjae Beach.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Jeju is an approximately 9-hour flight. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Jeju due to the time zone difference. When traveling from Kuala Lumpur in October, plan for colder days and slightly colder nights in Jeju: temperatures range from 24°C by day to 23°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Sat) early enough to fly to Suncheon.
