The capital of the Philippines and the "Pearl of the Orient," Manila truly resembles a gem: rough on the outside, but glittering within.
Visiting Rizal Park and Manila Bay will get you outdoors. Get a sense of the local culture at Intramuros and Manila Cathedral. There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Fort Santiago, examine the collection at National Museum, take in nature's colorful creations at Father Blanco's Garden, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Quiapo Church.

Krakow, Poland to Manila is an approximately 20-hour combination of flight and bus. You can also do a combination of train, flight, and bus; or do a combination of flight, taxi, and bus. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 7 hours traveling from Krakow to Manila. Traveling from Krakow in January, expect Manila to be much warmer, temps between 35°C and 27°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 26th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel to Coron.
