Situated between the Neris and Nemunas rivers, Kaunas is known for its old town, which, though smaller than the capital's, is in much better condition.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Ninth Fort and Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul. Visiting Vytauto Kalnas and UNO Park KAUNAS will get you outdoors. Take a break from Kaunas with a short trip to Panemunes Castle in Pilis, about 1h 10 min away.
