Kharkiv hosts numerous Soviet monuments from its stint as the capital in the 1920s and is considered the industrial and educational heart of Ukraine.Family-friendly places like Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure and Feldman Ecopark will thrill your kids. Venture out of the city with trips to Parkhomovskiy Museum of Art (in Parkhomivka), Chuhuiv (Putevoi Castle, I.E. Repin Park of Culture and Leisure, &more) and Holy Ascension Church (in Zolochiv). Spend the 11th (Sun) exploring nature at Artem Culture and Recreation Park. The adventure continues: tour the pleasant surroundings at Kharkov Dolphinarium, make a trip to Freedom Square, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Annunciation Cathedral, and pause for some photo ops at Great War Memorial.
