Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, gives most visitors their first taste of the country, along with all of its rugged and lively charm.
Get out of town with these interesting Port-au-Prince side-trips: Place Saint-Pierre (in Petionville), Village Artistique de Noailles (in Croix-des-Bouquets) and Fort Jacques (in Kenscoff). Jacmel
