Naha, the capital of Okinawa, has deep roots: Stone Age relics have been found in the city, and through the Middle Ages it rose in importance in the Ryukyu Kingdom.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Naha: Furuzamami Beach (in Zamami-son), Aharen Beach (in Tokashiki-son) and Motobu-cho (Okinawa Memorial Park Ocean Expo Park & Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium). The adventure continues: explore the historical opulence of Shurijo Castle, make a trip to Kokusaidori, contemplate the long history of Tamaudoun Site, and kick back and relax at Naminoue Beach.

New Delhi, India to Naha is an approximately 11-hour combination of flight and taxi. The time zone changes from India Standard Time (IST) to Japan Standard Time (JST), which is usually a 3 hour difference. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from New Delhi in June, with highs in Naha at 34°C and lows at 30°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Tue) early enough to travel to Nagasaki.

Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Nagasaki: Sasebo (Huis Ten Bosch & Kujuku Island).
