Wicklow is the county town of County Wicklow and the capital of the Mid-East Region in Ireland. Explore Wicklow's surroundings by going to Dalkey Castle and Heritage Centre (in Dalkey), Powerscourt Waterfall (in Enniskerry) and Tintern Abbey (in Wexford). There's lots more to do: contemplate the long history of Russborough House, tour the pleasant surroundings at Powerscourt Gardens and House, see the interesting displays at Irish National Heritage Park, and hike along Devils Glen.

To find traveler tips, reviews, where to stay, and other tourist information, go to the Wicklow trip planner .

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major airport is Dublin Airport. In July in Wicklow, expect temperatures between 23°C during the day and 13°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
