Jewel of the East Coast

The coastal port city of Visakhapatnam looks both outwards to the sea and inland to the mountains of the Eastern Ghats.
On the 22nd (Thu), explore the fascinating underground world of Borra Caves and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Sri Bhadrakali Sametha Veereswara swamy Devasthanam. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 23rd (Fri): walk around Kailasagiri, enjoy the sand and surf at Rama Krishna Beach, and then see the interesting displays at INS Kurusura Submarine Museum.

Kolkata (Calcutta) to Visakhapatnam is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also fly; or take a train; or drive. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 24th (Sat) so you can go by car to Araku Valley.
