Turin — 3 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Juventus Museum and Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706. Castello di Issogne and Castello Reale di Sarre are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour), Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte) and Aosta (Criptoportico Forense, Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso, &more). There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice, get engrossed in the history at Museum of the Risorgimento, tour the pleasant surroundings at Rifugio Vittorio Sella, and step into the grandiose world of Castello di Verres.
