Steeped in cultural and historical heritage, Philadelphia is known as the birthplace of U.S. democracy, as it was once the meeting place for the country's Founding Fathers.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Fri): gain insight at Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Education Center, then admire the masterpieces at Philadelphia Museum of Art, then hike along Kelly Drive, and finally contemplate the long history of Independence Hall. Here are some ideas for day two: hunt for treasures at Reading Terminal Market, appreciate the history behind Liberty Bell Center, then take an in-depth tour of Eastern State Penitentiary, and finally examine the collection at The Franklin Institute.

Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 27th (Mon): admire the majestic nature at Ted Sperling Park, stroll around Siesta Beach, and then admire the masterpieces at The Ringling.
