Pamplona or Iruña is the historical capital city of Navarre, in Spain, and of the former Kingdom of Navarre. The city is famous worldwide for the running of the bulls during the San Fermín festival, which is held annually from July 6 to 14. Escape the urban bustle at River Rafting & Tubing and Bardenas Reales. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Pamplona: RiojaNatura (in Santo Domingo de la Calzada), Catedral de Santa Maria (in Vitoria-Gasteiz) and Cathedral of Jaca (in Jaca). There's still lots to do: admire the landmark architecture of Catedral de Pamplona, make a trip to Curva de Estafeta, catch a live event at Plaza de Toros de Pamplona, and catch some excitement at Garrarte Artesanos.
