Minot is a city in and the county seat of Ward County, North Dakota, United States, in the state's north-central region. Venture out of the city with trips to Washburn (Fort Mandan & The North Dakota Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center), Tommy Turtle Statue (in Bottineau) and International Peace Garden (in Dunseith). There's lots more to do: stroll around Scandinavian Heritage Park, make a trip to Salem Sue, get to know the resident critters at Roosevelt Park Zoo, and browse the different shops at Dakota Square Mall.

To see reviews, photos, more things to do, and other tourist information, go to the Minot online journey planner .

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major airport is Minot International Airport. In August, plan for daily highs up to 32°C, and evening lows to 16°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
