A gateway to the volcano, Fujiyoshida sits in the shadow of a giant, and everything across the city seemingly points toward the iconic symbol of national pride, Mount Fuji.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Waketamaike Spring and Fuji Five Lakes. Venture out of the city with trips to Chichibu Shrine (in Chichibu), Yamanashi Prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center (in Tsuru) and Koshu (Daibsatsrei & Daibosatsu Toge). There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Chureito Pagoda, stroll around Arakurayama Sengen Park, see the interesting displays at Hannoki Forest Museum / Sokonuke Pond, and get a new perspective on nature at Fujisan Museum.

In July, plan for daily highs up to 28°C, and evening lows to 25°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
