For most visitors on holiday in Baddeck, the town represents the beginning and the end of the world-famous Cabot Trail, a scenic roadway looping around the northern tip of Cape Breton Island.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site and Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site. Get out of town with these interesting Baddeck side-trips: Cape Breton Miners' Museum (in Glace Bay), Cape Breton Highlands National Park (in Ingonish) and Sydney (Petersfield Provincial Park & The Big Fiddle). There's still lots to do: stop by Baadeck Yarns and tour the pleasant surroundings at Ski Tuonela.

For reviews, traveler tips, more things to do, and more tourist information, read our Baddeck online trip planner .

In July, plan for daily highs up to 27°C, and evening lows to 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 1st (Wed) so you can travel back home.
