Austin

Live Music Capital of the World

Despite its laid-back college vibe, Austin is an influential center for politics, technology, film, and music.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Austin Panic Room, Peter Pan Mini Golf, 6th Street, and other attractions you added. Kids will enjoy Congress Avenue Bridge / Austin Bats and Bullock Texas State History Museum. Venture out of the city with trips to San Antonio (Tower of the Americas, Mission San Jose, &more). There's lots more to do: admire the landmark architecture of Texas State Capitol, have some family-friendly fun at The Escape Game Austin, do a tasting at The Austin Winery, and witness a stunning natural landmark at Barton Springs Pool.

To see reviews, where to stay, and other tourist information, you can read our Austin trip planner.

The Route module shows you travel options from your home to Austin. In October, plan for daily highs up to 85°F, and evening lows to 62°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Mon) to allow time to drive back home.
