Situated between the Neris and Nemunas rivers, Kaunas is known for its old town, which, though smaller than the capital's, is in much better condition.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Ninth Fort and Pazaislis Monastery. Venture out of the city with trips to Siauliai (Radio and Television Museum & Ruta Sokolado Muziejus), Raudone Castle (in Raudone) and Kedainiai Minaret (in Kedainiai).
