Norrköping is a city in the province of Östergötland in eastern Sweden and the seat of Norrköping Municipality, Östergötland County, about 160 km southwest of the national capital Stockholm. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Kolmården Zoo and Gamla Linkoping Open-Air Museum. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Norrkoping: The Swedish Air Force Museum (in Linkoping), S:ta Birgittas kloster Pax Mariae (in Vadstena) and Bergs slussar (in Vreta Kloster). You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Ales Stenar and St. Petri (St. Peter's Church). Change things up with a short trip to Ystads Teater in Ystad (about 1h 05 min away). Getting from Norrkoping to Malmo by train takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of train and flight. In July, plan for daily highs up to 26°C, and evening lows to 15°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 8th (Fri) early enough to catch the train to Gothenburg.
