As the political and cultural capital of China, Beijing stands at the heart of Chinese history, buzzing with the energy of its high population density and centuries of importance.
Visit Yandai Xie Street and Pinggu Jiangjunguan Great Wall for their historical value. Step out of the city life by going to Longqing Gorge and Shidu Nature Park. Step out of Beijing to go to Ji County and see Temple of Solitary Joy (Dule si), which is approximately 1h 50 min away. There's still lots to do: make a trip to Dashilan, steep yourself in history at Gate of Great Harmony (Taihe Men), admire the landmark architecture of Changping Ancient Great Wall of Yan Ruins, and step into the grandiose world of Inner Court.
