The sleepy market town of Kabale in Western Uganda, although meagre in sights of its own, boasts close proximity to several national parks, just a couple of miles from the border with Rwanda.
Step off the beaten path and head to Safaris and Kisiizi Falls. Take a break from Kabale with a short trip to Bugona Tree in Rubaare, about 1h 15 min away.
