Because of its history, Bujumbura reflects a colonial charm which shows through in its buildings, wide boulevards, and carefree way of life.
Get some historical perspective at Musee Vivant and Regina Mundi Cathedral. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Monument de l'Unite and Mausolee du Prince Louis Rwagasore. Spend the 21st (Sun) exploring nature at Rusizi National Park. There's lots more to do: pause for some photo ops at Livingstone-Stanley Monument, tour the pleasant surroundings at Reptile Park (Parc des Reptiles), and engage your brain at Geological Museum of Burundi.
