Arguably the most modern of Central American cities, Panama City boasts a shimmering skyline of glass skyscrapers.
Casco Viejo and Avenida Balboa are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Panama Rainforest Discovery Center and Playa Punta Chame. Change things up with a short trip to Taboga Island Beaches in Isla Taboga (about 1h 20 min away). Spend the 5th (Sat) exploring nature at Metropolitan National Park. There's lots more to do: explore the ancient world of El Arco Chato, enjoy the sand and surf at Isla Santa Catalina, and don't miss a visit to Templo Hindu.

Quebec City, Canada to Panama City is an approximately 12-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or drive.
