With a population of just over 100,000 people, this small but populous town is best known for its production of tin ore, found in Bentong's two rivers, and its production of timber and rubber.
Get in touch with nature at Kechara Forest Retreat and Chamang Falls. Tras Road Chinese Temple and Bentong Gallery are good opportunities to explore the local culture. And it doesn't end there: identify plant and animal life at Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, browse the fresh offerings at Bentong Walk, examine the collection at Bentong Upside Down House, and admire all the interesting features of Jimmy's Durian Orchard.

Thick, verdant jungle blankets the hilly island of Pulau Tioman, dotted with steep cliffs and tumbling waterfalls, and filled with rare species such as bearcats, giant flying squirrels, slow lorises, and Tioman "walking" catfish.
