Though it suffers from frigid temperatures for much of the year, Edmonton offers a range of tourist activities for all four seasons.
You've now added Greenland Garden Centre to your itinerary. On the 30th (Thu), get a taste of the local shopping with Greenland Garden Centre. Keep things going the next day: steep yourself in history at Rutherford House Provincial Historic Site, then get in on the family fun at Fort Edmonton Park, and then wander the streets of Whyte Avenue.

The largest national park in the Canadian Rockies, sprawling Jasper National Park encompasses more than 10,000 sq km (4,200 sq mi) of largely unspoiled mountain wilderness.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Sun): stop by Candy Bear Lair, look for gifts at Experience Gourmet Living, take in the exciting artwork at Mountain Galleries, then tee off at Jasper Park Golf Course, and finally take in breathtaking views at Maligne Canyon. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the waterfront views at Pyramid and Patricia Lakes and then hit the slopes at Marmot Basin Ski Area.

Traveling by car from Edmonton to Jasper National Park takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train.
