Changwon — 4 nights

Changwon is the capital city of Gyeongsangnam-do, on the southeast coast of South Korea. Your day by day itinerary now includes Jinhae Gunhangje Festival as well as Gyeonghwa Station Cherry Blossom Road. Venture out of the city with trips to Tongyeong (Seopilang Gongwon, Tongyeong Daegyo, &more), Haman-gun (Haman Lotus Theme Park & Ipgok County Park) and Jinju (Gyeongsangnamdo Arboretum & Jinjuseong). You can drive from Busan to Changwon in an hour. Another option is to take a bus. When traveling from Busan in March, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Changwon: temperatures range from 9°C by day to 7°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Gyeongju.

Gyeongju — 3 nights

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Get out of town with these interesting Gyeongju side-trips: Gatbawi Rock (in Gyeongsan), Ulsan Daegok Museum (in Ulsan) and Daegu (Seomun Market & Gukchaebosang Memorial Park). There's lots more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Bulguksa Temple, see the interesting displays at Gyeongju National Museum, contemplate the waterfront views at Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, and appreciate the history behind Seokguram.

You can drive from Changwon to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Other options are to take a bus; or take a train. When traveling from Changwon in March, plan for a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Gyeongju: temperatures range from 5°C by day to 5°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel to Taebaek.

Taebaek is a city in Gangwon province, South Korea. Change things up with a short trip to Cheongnyangsa Temple in Bonghwa-gun (about 1h 20 min away). Located within the capital's urban sprawl, Yongin stands as a city in its own right, but has come to be considered a suburb of Seoul.
