Oswiecim — 1 night

Known to most by its German name Auschwitz, the modestly sized city of Oswiecim sits at the foot of the Jura Mountains, just 50 km (30 mi) west of Krakow.
On the 28th (Thu), trek along Miedzybrodzkie Lake. Keep things going the next day: take an in-depth tour of Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau and then get engrossed in the history at Jewish Museum and Synagogue.

Although its history goes back a thousand years, Gdansk represents one of Poland's most modern urban centers, its thriving economy boosted by a lively tourism sector.
Visit Sopot Beach and Stogi Beach for some beach relaxation. For shopping fun, head to Mariacka Street (ulica Mariacka) or Modern Art Gallery Garnizon. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Gdansk: Muzeum Zamkowe w Malborku (in Malbork) and Krynica Morska Beach (in Krynica Morska).
