Memphis — 30 nights

Birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll

The largest city on the Mississippi River, Memphis bills itself as both the "Birthplace of Rock" and "Home of the Blues." With such a rich musical heritage, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Elvis Presley chose to live in Memphis during his later years.
You'll explore and learn at Graceland and Stan Streets Hambone Art Gallery. National Civil Rights Museum - Lorraine Motel and Beale Street are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Memphis: Covington's Historic Square (in Covington), Hampson Archeological Museum State Park (in Wilson) and Delta Cultural Center (in Helena). There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at Sun Studio, try your luck at Horseshoe Tunica, see the interesting displays at Tupelo Automobile Museum, and pick up some local products at Memphis Farmers Market.
