Gallup is a city in McKinley County, New Mexico, United States, with a population of 21,678 as of the 2010 census. Venture out of the city with trips to Chinle (Spider Rock, White House Ruin, & more), Window Rock (Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, Navajo Nation Museum, & more) and Nageezi (Chaco Culture National Historical Park, Chetro Ketl, & more). There's lots more to do: admire nature's extreme beauty at Painted Desert, don't miss a visit to Newspaper Rock State Historic Monument, immerse yourself in nature at Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness, and trek along Blue Mesa.

To see where to stay, other places to visit, traveler tips, and more tourist information, refer to the Gallup day trip planning website .

In June, plan for daily highs up to 89°F, and evening lows to 49°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
