One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Sat): take in the spiritual surroundings of Bulguksa Temple and then pause for some photo ops at Seokguram. Keep things going the next day: examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum and then explore the activities along Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond.

Traveling from Gyeongju in November, expect nights in Busan to be about the same, around 6°C, while days are a bit warmer, around 18°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Tue) so you can fly to Jeju.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
On the 9th (Wed), explore the fascinating underground world of Manjanggul Cave and then step off the mainland to explore Udo. On your second day here, surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour.

Getting from Busan to Jeju by flight takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train, taxi, and ferry. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Thu) early enough to catch the flight to Seoul.

Seoul — 22 nights

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Get out of town with these interesting Seoul side-trips: Korea National Arboretum (in Pocheon), Nami Island (in Chuncheon) and DMZ Haemaru Village (in Paju).
