Homer

Homer is a city located in Kenai Peninsula Borough in the U.S. Escape the urban bustle at Photography Tours and Kachemak Bay State Park. Change things up with a short trip to Fishing Charters & Tours in Ninilchik (about 44 minutes away). There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Homer Spit, learn more about the world around you at Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center, examine the collection at Pratt Museum, and add some adventure to your tour with a kayaking and canoeing tour.

Seward

For most visitors to this part of the world, the wild part of Alaska starts at Seward, a small port city that takes advantage of the region's natural beauty.
Take a break from the city and head to Dolphin & Whale Watching and Kenai Fjords National Park Visitor Center. Explore Seward's surroundings by going to Kenai Fjords National Park (Harding Ice Field Trail & Exit Glacier). There's lots more to do: add some adventure to your tour with a kayaking and canoeing tour, take in the dramatic natural features at Holgate Glacier, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Alaska SeaLife Center, and explore the activities along Resurrection Bay.

Get in touch with nature at Denali and Mt. Healy Overlook Trail. Spend the 12th (Sun) surrounded by wildlife at Mc Kinley Park Rd. Getting from Seward to Denali National Park and Preserve by combination of bus and train takes about 10.5 hours. Other options: take a train; or take a bus. When traveling from Seward in July, plan for somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Denali National Park and Preserve: temperatures range from 70°F by day to 52°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Sun) early enough to travel to Anchorage.

The Municipality and Borough of Skagway is a first-class borough in Alaska on the Alaska Panhandle. Take a break from the city and head to Zipline and Nature & Wildlife Tours.
