A small trading town in the 17th century, Kaohsiung now stands as a sprawling metropolis, its harbor representing the largest on the island.

Xiulin Township or Sioulin Township is a mountain indigenous township of Hualien County, Taiwan. Step out of Xiulin to go to Nan'ao and see Taiwan Beech National Trail, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. There's much more to do: trek along Taroko Gorge, stroll through Baiyang Trail, make a trip to Chongde Bay, and admire the verdant scenery at Mukumugi Valley.
