One of Poland's oldest cities, Krakow sits at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, its historical town center nestled on the left bank of the Vistula River.
Spend the 17th (Thu) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Known to most by its German name Auschwitz, the modestly sized city of Oswiecim sits at the foot of the Jura Mountains, just 50 km (30 mi) west of Krakow.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Fri): get engrossed in the history at Zamek Museum, then take an in-depth tour of Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau, and then make a trip to Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
