Nearly destroyed by war during the 1990s, the riverside city of Sarajevo now serves as one of the region's major educational, cultural, and commercial hubs.
Step out of Sarajevo with an excursion to Pyramid Of The Moon in Visoko--about 38 minutes away. On the 5th (Sun), spend a day ambling around Vrelo Bosne. Jajce is a town and municipality located in the central part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the Bosanska Krajina region. Get out of town with these interesting Jajce side-trips: Stari grad (in Travnik), Old Town Kljuc (in Kljuc) and Vlasic Mountain (in Kresevo). Trebinje

Trebinje is the southernmost municipality and city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Change things up with a short trip to Vjetrenica in Zavala (about 50 minutes away). There's still lots to do: explore the activities along Trebisnjica River, learn about winemaking at Andjelic Wine Cellar, take in the views from Arslanagica Bridge, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Hercegovacka Gracanica.
