Whitstable is a seaside town on the north coast of Kent in south-east England, 5 miles (8km) north of Canterbury and 2 miles (3km) west of Herne Bay. Step off the beaten path and head to Samphire Hoe and Secret Wartime Tunnels. Explore Whitstable's surroundings by going to Egerton Park (in Bexhill-on-Sea), Crypt of St. Leonard (in Hythe) and Dover Museum (in Dover). There's more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at East Sussex Falconry and contemplate the long history of Richborough Roman Fort and Amphitheatre.

For photos, ratings, other places to visit, and other tourist information, read Whitstable trip itinerary maker site .

If you are flying in from Jersey, the closest major airports are London Stansted Airport, London Gatwick Airport, Southend Airport and London City Airport. In November, daily temperatures in Whitstable can reach 13°C, while at night they dip to 5°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
