Montauk is a census-designated place (CDP) that includes the hamlet with the same name located in the town of East Hampton in Suffolk County, New York, on the eastern end of the South Shore of Long Island. Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Sat): admire the majestic nature at Hither Hills State Park, contemplate the long history of Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center, then see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, and finally make a trip to Gosman's Restaurant. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 4th (Sun): admire the majestic nature at Camp Hero State Park, enjoy the sea views from Montauk Point Lighthouse, and then admire the majestic nature at Montauk Point State Park.

Newark to Montauk is an approximately 3-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or take a bus. When traveling from Newark in September, plan for little chillier days in Montauk, with highs around 74°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 62°F. Cutchogue is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Suffolk County, New York, United States.
